searching for skilled Marine Electricians for our Fleet Services
Group - West. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED or
industrial school certificate, a willingness to travel and a
minimum of three (3) years of practical shipboard experience with
HM&E systems and equipment. *Please note due to the anticipated

considered. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: \n Practical
shipboard experience with HM&E systems and equipment. \n
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with shipboard
electronic and electrical system and equipment. \n Understand and
interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings. \n
Experience with NAVSEA cableway and connectorization, certification
is a plus. \n Technical expertise with power generation and
transmission equipment, and motorized valve actuators. \n
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), fiber optics and integrated
network system experience is preferred. \n \n Experience and Skills
Requirements include: \n Ability to read, interpret, and understand
simple schematics and blueprints. \n Repair and replace cables and
connectors. \n Work involves participating in the installation,
maintenance of Combat Systems, PLCs, AC and DC generators,
switchboards, distribution panels, lighting and alarm circuits. \n
Troubleshoot, repair and install electronic and electronic
equipment and cables. \n Applicant must be familiar with NAVSEA,
standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of
electrical repair, fabrication, and installation. \n Must have or
have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance and must be able to
obtain DBIDS and be able to access local shipyards and US Navy
bases. \n Must possess basic hand tools. \n Candidate must be able
to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, stretch, reach,
squat and twist. \n Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy
equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be
determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. \n Able to
work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature
environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial
conditions and in confined spaces. \n Able to perform other duties
as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty
conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. \n Travel
may be required within and outside of the continental United
States. \n \n Preferred qualifications: \n Certified in "Multi-pin"
Connectors IAW MIL-STD-20035A (SA) is a MUST. \n Certified in Fiber
Optic: CFOS/O, CFOS/C, CFOS/S, CFOS/T, CFOS/FC is a PLUS. \n
Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a marine electrician. \n
Must be familiar with NAVSEA Standard Item requirements. \n
Currently certified to accomplish wire way inspections in
accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items. \n Microsoft Office
knowledge is a plus. \n Pulling and splicing wires. \n Circuit
Labeling. \n Circuiting testing and troubleshooting. \n \n Job
