Position title:
Urologic Oncology
Salary range:
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment
as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or
step. The base pay range for this position is $300,000 - $500,000.
Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be
available if the position includes membership in the Health

Position description
The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine,
Department of Urology (http://urology.ucsd.edu/default.aspx) is
committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty,
staff, and student body and is recruiting new faculty members with
a focus on Urologic Oncology.
The position will include providing clinical care to patients and
teaching. In addition, the successful candidates will have the
ability to have a dedicated research component to their career.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate,
or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's
qualifications and experience.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee
should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional
activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent or MD/PhD in
health-related fields.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical
license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the
California Medical Board and be board-certified or board-eligible
in Urology. Candidates must also have completed residency in
Urology and Urology sub-specialty fellowship training.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with an outstanding clinical research background are
preferred.
