well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer within
our Propulsion Engineering group that is teamed with the
world-renowned engine development team at Cosworth to develop a new
2.0 Liter turbocharged, 4 cylinder diesel engine. This clean sheet
of paper design is going through the full range of design
verification, validation and qualification tests at the engine
level, and then goes into flight test on a new generation Gray
Eagle Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) being developed for the US
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct all activities for assigned
engineering project(s) from inception through completion including
planning and managing technical performance to attain quality,
business, and financial objectives.
Prepare estimates and contribute to the preparation of proposals,
Statements of Work, technical requirements/specifications, budgets
and terms/conditions of contract(s).
Develop detailed schedules in MS Project to identify and manage
critical path and ensure project maintains schedule and budget
Coordinate and interface with management and customer
representatives, contractors, and engineering groups concerning
projects. Primary technical contact for assigned projects.
Develop PowerPoint presentations and technical reports of findings
and communicate results through technical presentations to
engineering staff, management and customers.
Represent Project Engineering team at stakeholder meetings such as
change control boards, design reviews, and technical interchange
Develop detailed work instructions for field modifications
Provide technical support for integration, verification, and
validation of new and existing systems
Coordinate development and troubleshooting activities between
production, field support and functional engineering teams
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other
applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted
on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in
accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters
degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from
an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as
follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree,
seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or
more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering
experience in lieu of education.
Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts
quickly; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment;
organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the
appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the
project level to provide solutions to a range of complex
Must have excellent communication, computer, documentation,
presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to
work both independently and as part of a team; able to perform
complex tasks in one engineering area; and, lead a team of less
experienced professional employees on semi-routine tasks.
Aviation industry experience in reciprocating diesel propulsion
systems is desired.
Experience with systems test and qualification on aircraft systems
Familiarity with Government guidelines, regulations and
certification for propulsion systems is desired.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is
U.S. citizenship required.
Able to work extended hours as required.
Willing to travel up 25%.
