Job Description Job Description Quality Inspector Santee, CA 1st Shift M-F $25-$29/hr Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts, castings, assemblies, purchased components, and materials at various stages of the manufacturing process. Conduct inspections in accordance with applicable standards, including but not limited to MSS SP-55, API, ASTM, ANSI/HI, and ISO. Determine appropriate inspection methods to verify specifications and critical dimensions, selecting and using the necessary gauges, fixtures, indicators, and measurement equipment. Read, interpret, and inspect parts based on engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Prepare and complete inspection reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspections, final inspections, certified inspections, RMAs, and final inspection of pump orders prior to shipment. Document and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for parts that do not meet specifications. Inspect incoming purchased materials and components, including review of supplier documentation and disposition. Work closely with Receiving, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to determine the appropriate disposition of materials and parts. Perform inspections based on work orders and accurately record inspection start and completion times in the manufacturing system (Global Shop). Assist with internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions as assigned by the Quality Manager or Supervisor. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential quality records and documentation. Follow all safety rules, procedures, and established operating practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills 2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santee, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
