We are seeking a Pediatrics Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Feb 17, 2026. This role features day shifts, Monday through Friday, serving a diverse patient population with a high proportion of Spanish-speaking and Medicaid/Medical patients. Locum experience and recent work in a pediatric setting are required. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Feb 17, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Pediatrics Physician Assistant - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Deliver pediatric outpatient care in a community-based setting - Provide care to a patient population that is approximately 75% Spanish-speaking, supported by translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants - Manage cases where 78% of patients are covered by Medical/Medicaid - Adhere to clinical protocols and document care accurately - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes - Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards Additional Information - Must have current California license, DEA, and furnishing license - Required board certifications: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (PPCNP-BC) - Recent experience in a pediatric setting is required - FQHC, rural health, or Indian Health Service experience preferred - Please confirm any needed time off prior to submission Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
