Basic Qualifications :Candidates should demonstrate a thorough
understanding of engineering technology. Engineering Interns must
be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer
Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or
technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a
sophomore or higher.Due to the nature of work performed within our
facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Secret clearance will be
required prior to starting the internship in May
2023.Responsibilities for this Position:REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND
TASKS:Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting
the defense of our country. GDMS has an immediate opening for an
Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an
opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation's
fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with
esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry
out high-stakes national security missions.The selected candidate
will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects
associated with our core mission. In addition to receiving a

Duties and Tasks:Seeking a Systems Administrator with experience in
any of the following topics: Server or Workstation Administration,
Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office, VMware,Citrix,
SCCM, Change ManagementA strong candidate will be comfortable
working in a multi-vendor network with a large array of COTS
applicationsResponsibilities may require periodic evening and
weekend work in response to needs of the systems being
supportedInstalls, configures and maintains software onboard
Littoral Combat ShipsIdeal candidate should have strong
troubleshooting skills and be able to work independentlyConducts
functional, environmental, operations and/or performance tests on
hardware, software and systems to include simulated live fire
exercisesIsolates and documents issues and defectsSupports
continuous improvement initiativesFrequent contact with multiple
work groupsShows initiative on assignments, exercises independent
judgment and professionally executes projects with little
directionTravel is required (see below)Ability to obtain a Security
clearance is requirePreferred Skills:Experience administering
Windows Server 2012/2016 and Workstation 7/10/embedded
environmentsUnderstanding of LINUX command lineExperience with
Virtualization technologiesExperience integrating software on a
common operating systemExperience with scripting and automation
technologies, specifically PowerShell and BASHHOUSING STIPEND not
included in the internship.Salary Note: Note: The compensation
information listed is a good faith estimate for this position only
and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work
Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what
a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the
successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position
from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will
not necessarily receive the same compensation. Combined Salary
