Information Systems Security Officer - 24-001 - San Diego, California As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has an opening for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) working in the Point Loma area of San Diego, CaliforniaAUSGAR is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to support the execution of Risk Management Framework (RMF) work strong understanding of National Security Agency (NSA) requirementsISSO will be responsible for Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance, program/project Configuration Management (CM) and compliance with NAVWAR Technical Authority products and processesThe scope of this effort includes examination of the system architectures, engineering processes and cybersecurity functionalityLeverage expertise in administering US government security policies and procedures for multiple programs as the Information System Security OfficerCreate Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages using Risk Management Framework for computer networks using government standards, including ensuring systems are operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures, as outlined in the security authorization packageWork with NSA to ensure cybersecurity requirements are being metMaintain responsibility for hardware and software control, computer security briefings, educating users within the security program and ensuring business needs are metWork with systems administrators to ensure all systems security procedures are being followed in accordance with the applicable System Security Plan (SSP) and Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM)Ensure audit files are maintained and reviewed in accordance with client requirements, offer sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutionsManage system administrators as needed for software patch installation and antivirus updatesConduct security self-reviews and Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) requirementsLead CM efforts to coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software or firmware of a system to ensure compliance with configuration management policyThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the jobReasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsMust have a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearanceMust have or be able to obtain within six months of hire, a DoD 8570 IAT Level III cert, i.e., CISSP, CASP CE, CISA, GCED, GICSP, CGICMust have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems/Cybersecurity from an accredited university, five years plus of applicable experience with cybersecurity and two years plus applicable experience as an ISSO or ISSMMust have experience working with NSA on processes and proceduresPreferably ISSO/ISSM/IAM experience directly supporting NSAExperience with operating systems and configurations, including LAN, WAN, or VLAN.
