Only local candidates will be considered.Job Overview:Continental Tide is seeking an experienced and skilled Marine Electrician. The successful candidate must be cableway and multi-pin certified and will join our Fleet Services Group performing various ship repair, modernization and Alteration Installation Team (AIT) projects.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Practical shipboard experience with HM systems and equipment.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with shipboard electronic and electrical system and equipmentUnderstand and interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings,Experience with NAVSEA cableway and connectorization, certification is a plusTechnical expertise with, power generation and transmission equipment, and motorized valve actuatorsProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLCs), fiber optics and integrated network system experience is preferred.Experience and SkillsMust possess a high school, trade or vocational school degreeMust be Cableway certified5-7 years of direct experience in ship repair and installation of Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM) systems and equipment.Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is preferred.Must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearanceMust have the ability to obtain base access and security credentialsAbility to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes.
