Job Description:


Disney's Labor Transformation Analysts apply technical skills, statistics and analytics to forecast and plan Walt Disney World labor in changing business conditions. Types of analyses include forecasting, allocation, benchmarking, what-if scenarios, and quantification. Labor Transformation Analysts must produce analyses and tools that are simple to understand and stable to run. If selected, you will be part of the Workforce Management team where scope spans all of Walt Disney World operations, across properties and lines of businesses. Partners include Labor Systems, Finance, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Casting, College & International Program, and Operations. A successful analyst must have high capacity for productivity, passion and curiosity to understand the "why", and ability to create and support a story based on quantitative findings.

You will report to the Workforce Manager - Strategy & Analytics.

Responsibilities/You Will:

--- -Analyze and model labor-related data using mathematical and statistical approaches
--- -Support headcount planning and related analyses for the STCU hourly workforce inclusive of College & International Program
--- -Coordinate communication and collaborate to align assumptions and complete deliverables across partners
--- -Outline and explain analytical approach and methodology to a variety of audiences, including executives
--- -Use results of analysis to present findings to leadership, lay out appropriate options and make recommendations for decisions that may require change in process
--- -Work with a variety of partners to implement new methodologies and approaches
--- -Develop analyses and models to assess labor needs and measure the effectiveness of forecasting
--- -Support teammates by sharing expertise and collaborating on analytics approach, design, and calculations

Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:

--- -Knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis methods and real-world application
--- -Experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets
--- -Experience developing forecasting methodology and tools
--- -Partner with leaders at all levels to coordinate efforts in a team environment
--- -Work experience in optimization modeling, linear regression, forecasting methods, forecast accuracy, and data management
--- -Provide recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences based on analytical findings
--- -Understand current trends and identify opportunities for improvement
--- -Experience in or understanding of labor management, performance monitoring, executive presentations, partner analysis and change management
--- -Capability to share communication across teams on milestones, updates, and priorities
--- -Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions
--- -Proficiency using Python, VBA or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

--- -3 years' Parks and Resorts experience
--- -Experience with Workforce Management concepts, challenges and processes
--- -Project Management Certification

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or related field

Preferred Education:

Advanced degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or related field
