Job Description:

Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions: The successful candidate must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of in student, faculty and staff. This position is an on-campus, in-person role in order to provide the maximum availability to students. Consultants provide academic writing and reading support to currently enrolled Delta College students. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Conducting both in-person and online synchronous and asynchronous consultations with students to develop their academic reading and writing skills for a broad range of assignments/activities (e.g., academic essays, reflection papers, creative works, lab reports, case studies, research papers, scholarship writing, visual presentations, blogs, textbook chapters, peer-reviewed articles)
Providing supportive feedback (using MS Word commenting feature) for online paper and/or presentation submissions
Meeting individual students
