(TMI) is a nonprofit organization that has been transforming the
lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities since
1981 and the deaf and hard of hearing since 2000. TMI is committed
to the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities into all
facets of community life. The ideal candidate will have experience
working with individuals with developmental disabilities,
co-occurring mental health diagnosis, and a variety of medical
diagnosis. Should have experience performing functional behavioral
assessments/analysis, implementing behavioral modification
programs, and crisis intervention within the family structure. JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES The Behavior Consultant will participate as a
member of an interdisciplinary planning team and will provide
effective behavior interventions to adults with ID/DD and Mental
Health Diagnosis. Complete Functional Behavior Assessments. Develop
and implement Behavior Intervention Plans. Maintain accurate and
detailed monthly progress notes of behavioral services provided as
well as client’s progress. Provide ongoing communication, support,
and training to caregivers and staff on the implementation of
supportive behavior strategies. Collaborate with Regional Center
personnel, schools, day programs, group home staff, and families to
ensure effective implementation of recommended programs and
services. Provide services in accordance with the level of funding
and requirements for overall direct and indirect services.
REQUIREMENTS Participate in a minimum of 1 clinical meeting per
month. Travel up to 1 hours distance and conduct consultations in
the client's home. Bill TMI on a monthly basis, writing (Mileage
NOT reimbursed). Monday - Friday - variable days and hours. This is
a Contract Position (No Benefits). QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Must
be licensed clinician with (LCSW, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical
Psychology) English/Spanish bilingual preferred. At least 12 units
